It's been this way since the first version of the 3.6 betas. Perlin noted they were going to revert it back to muting nav only but that hasn't happened yet.

Mute button indeed mutes all sounds, but if you'd like to hear only alert sounds, you can set the navigation guidance to none (under sound settings).

I tried both ways; with the icon on Menu->Stations and with Menu->Navigate->Categories->Gas stations.

We are you located?

Noted in the post.

I'm not able to reproduce your problem. I can find gas stations in Montreal (both on Menu->Stations and Menu->Navigate->Categories->Gas stations).
Does it happen only with gas or also with other categories?

2 things...
1) I think waze continue having network connection problems.. I open up waze without network connection on my iphone and when it came up again waze didn't recover continue showing "no network" message. Only after a restart of the client network start to work

For the developers, I've noticed that Waze seems to be using a request into google mail (receiving a 301 redirect) to check for connectivity, which IMHO is quite dangerous because Waze will then report lost connectivity when google is down but Waze servers are still ok. Not that google is down a lot (but it is for short periods), but personally I've seen my operator loosing connectivity to parts of the world and hence seeing waze working (the website, etc.) but google not, and hence having the client telling me "no network". Wouldn't it be better to use the waze servers themselves as the ping request?

npv1459 wrote:2) I don't know if it's a problem but after 1 hour drive as above I don't have registered drives of yesterday.. I can see only drive at 5:44am(UTC+1) but not drives of yesterday night..approximately at 9:30pm(UTC+1)and 11:30pm(UTC+1)
Log send now at 10:43am(UTC+1)

Server related. Drives have been slow appearing on the WME. Give it some hours, max 24 hours, if they are not there, there is a dedicated forum to report it. Please note that the longer the drive, the longer it will take to appear. If your drive from yesterday was longer than the one from today, it's expected to see the one from today appearing before the other one. But no worries, the drives are not lost (except one time, but nevermind that ;))

The version works very stable on my iPhone 5 with 6.1.2.

There is one small issue, but it's not really a bug:

Yesterday, I wanted to enter a turn restriction for the next junction. However, I could only edit a node with a right-turn 15m in front of the junction. Waze allowed only edits for the first node, not for the second one which represented the main junction. I am aware of lots of junctions with more than one node, so I do believe that the current restriction is impractical. This should be expanded.

Best regards,

Detlev

iOS beta 3.5.99.9 feedback thread

Postby AlanOfTheBerg » Tue Feb 26, 2013 3:23 pm

I just uploaded logs at 3:15pm GMT due to a bug which is been previously reported. This bug is one in which a route is selected on start-up start, then I use the routes button to select an alternate (preferred, not fastest, but safest) route. The beginning of this route is to get me out of my local neighborhood. But often, I will take a slightly different route out of the neighborhood depending on school buses or other reasons. As soon as I make a turn which deviates from the Waze route which I've selected, Waze recalculates and goes back to selecting the original route that it wanted me to take and not the route that I had selected. This bug is easily reproducible, and happenes to me nearly every single morning I start out with Waze.

I'm not positive but I believe I just received a private message in the app, and it does not appear in my inbox. It is possible that it was a map chat but I believe it was just a p.m.

Under groups menu, the loading animation is the old one.

Also don't know if colors changed but night drive, it looks harder to see witch the road to follow if the phone is a bit far. At least I noticed a bit mor difficult to see, not much color difference.

That would be great but although I have ASR enabled its three finger tap only so waving is pretty useless, especially as I Waze in landscape mode where waving doesn't even work. Please get rid of this.

Definitely, this message should only show up when waving for ASR actually works. We'll fix it.

I second this. I have especially considered (1) and (2) -- as it stands, I have to report a disabled car in the middle of the road as an "object on road" with the description "car"... Also, there's quite a lot of shoulder work around that carries the same heightened fines that on-road construction does.

(1) and (2) indeed sound reasonable to add. We'll try to add them as soon as we can.
