No, it just ignores the dash and reads it like it isn't there, it's quite annoying.Timbones wrote: I'd be okay with this, but doesn't TTS on Waze read dash with a pause also? The online vocaliser doesn't exactly match how the client reads things.

Whilst I'm having a moan about the TTS it also reads A461 as "A four sixty-one", rather than "A four six one" - is it just me that cringes, or does anyone actually read it as "A four sixty-one"?

I've had a change done directly to the database to rename a whole city. It was done by Dror in less than 24 hours. Obviously doing the whole country is on a much larger scale, but that shouldn't be a limitation.Dave2084 wrote:Then we should keep it as it is, it's amassive change.dmcconachie wrote:We can try, there have been a few SQL style requests I have made, none have yet been done. Plus part of me shudders at the thought of a mass edit like that. I have visions of a basemap-style cockup!
Lets wait until Waze have proved that they can do this kind of edit and if they can we can re-evaluate the situation then.

For me it the general rules are:faitaru wrote: Yeh, that pisses me off. It's really weird and road dependant though, and probably not the same for everyone. The A370 in Somerset I would say as "A three seventy", the A421 south of Bedford I would say as "A four two one", but the B660 which I live on is the "B six six oh".
A12 - A twelve
A20 - A twenty
A32 - A thirty two
A212 - A two one two
A200 - A two hundred
A220 - A two twenty
A232 - A two three two
Same for B roads. Four digit roads have less general rules.

I get exit left on Windows Mobile now for slip roads and that's not been updated in ages.

You can make the extended tools work on https://world.waze.com/editor/* by going into Greasemonkey - Manage User Scripts. Options for the Waze script and add https://world.waze.com/editor/* to the 'Included Pages' options on the 'User Settings' tab.Timbones wrote:Looks good to me!
There appears to be two URLs in service: /editor/ and /map-editor/ - the Livemap links to the former, and the extended tools only works on the latter (at the moment).
