Hi Leo

I was going to do the whole road, but my road layer stopped working (AGAIN). The reason I added it their is that it is effectively a 2 carriageway road with a central barrier, so clearly has 2 directions.

Well, yes it does, but it's only a short road, and I'm not sure that adding E and W is really necessary? I agree it's useful on major highways etc. where you may come to a roundabout or junction where the road direction is marked, but otherwise imho it isn't adding a lot of value to instructions, and makes the screen look even more cluttered (plus it's more stuff for tts to say out loud!). Just my opinion though...

Wasnt really for instructions where I agree, it makes no difference. It was solely for traffic alerts which I will often use to change my own route.

If the use of N/S/E/W is based on the length of the road, at what length do they start and stop being used?

It's quite subjective though. IMHO, Durant road doesn't always have heavy traffic and it's a bit too short to put 'direction'. I'd say John Dobson St may need N/S as it always has heavy traffic during peak time. However, I intend not to put direction as Val's option. Well again it is quite subjective but we have to do this in the same way. It's good wiki can have a guideline.

In a similar vein to the original post I keep getting URs saying I've miscounted exits on this roundabout but I think everyone is missing the small but legitimate exit highlighted. Thoughts anyone?

Sometimes it is good to use other navigator to compare the no. of exit so I will turn on Nokia map and Google navigator at the same time.

I think you're right, but you'll never stop getting the URs cos it's so tiny and easily overlooked!

Hi Simon, I saw you have changed some road type around there. Could you change these too to keep consistency?
Just realised that we got some curly streets too

More than likely. I don't know why people assume that if they report something 50 times it'll be solved quicker.
