New 'UK English' language in the client

Postby Dave2084 » Wed Jul 04, 2012 7:00 am

My phone was a little confused last night, the directions were spoken by Daniel but the warnings were spoken by Natalie!

If I remember correctly there is literature (air safety?) to suggest a woman's warnings are paid more attention to than a man's. At least it works in our house.

The spoken language needs to be a little more subtle about the pronunciation of "St". Specifically when it occurs at the start of a name, it should be "Saint" and not "Street". I have a local "St Paul's Rd", currently being pronounced as "Street Paul's Road".

A "St Paul's St" would be a good test when the programming has been corrected, should come out as "Saint Paul's Street".

Will Waze programmers pick this up from this comment, or does it need to be reported some other way?

It used to, it's been reported and a fix is on the way!
