Hi

This is also still buggy on the international server.
For Germany I see very often that the colored traffic layer on the map is not identical to the colored traffic on the route preview as well as calculation. The calculated route takes the same time as without traffic!
It seems that they are out of sync by a couple minutes.

Very annoying.
This is still ongoing and there is no feedback from WAZE what so ever.
What does one have to do to get someone looking into it or at least commenting this.

Why using WAZE if it fails to detect traffic in the routing logic?

Have you tried contacting support through the support page?

Hi CBenson

No, not yet.
I was assuming that the support is looking into the forums as well.
At least they previously replied in this thread.
Am I wrong with this assumption?

I don't really know. But given that there has been no recent feedback from waze what so ever, I was kind of assuming that support was not looking at this thread anymore. Seems to me that it wouldn't hurt to contact them directly.

[SUPPORT] Traffic Avoidance Failure

islupepa wrote:The traffic avoidance seems to work much better now, but there are still place for improvements.
There was a long traffic jam between work and home today, 7 km with a speed of 7 km/h (These 7 km would take 1 hour to drive).
From work to home, it's 34 km and Waze was estimating the time to 43 minutes. Normally it takes 30 minutes.
If I set the start point where the traffic jam started and the end point right after the traffic jam, Waze was estimating the time to 45 minutes (7 km).
It would take me 19 minutes (24 km) to reach the traffic jam and by then Waze must think that the traffic jam is almost gone when I reach it since it just adding 13 minutes to the normal route time. I could be that the traffic is building up instead of decreasing.
I think it would be better to consider the actual delay than decrease the time to 13 minutes instead of 1 hour delay since I'm still far away (24 km) from the traffic jam). In that way Waze could actually route me another better way and I don't have to get stuck in this traffic jam.
I understand why Waze is using this kind of algoritm for traffic jams. If there are no additional traffic jam information by other Wazers afterwards it wouldn't go back to normal speeds on the affected intersections.
But as it is now, Waze is fooling you to drive in the direction of the traffic jam!!

What I think waze was thinking that was since it would take you 19 minutes to get to the traffic jam that maybe a few minutes before you get there that if the jam isn't cleared up that it would reroute you around right before the jam. Just a thought.

Still no reply even after sending a message through the support page.
Probably they need some bad advertisement that their core functionality is %/"$=!# on their G+ or Facebook site before we get a reply.

Hi Marcel,

The support is not reading the forum, they could be contacted by nanorep surface (http://world.waze.com/support), they will answer.

Btw You can contact with the wazers in Your country, they could have some idea about the situations and can help to contact with the HQ.
