Feature request: Only necessary instructions

I have an idea for a feature that would make Waze much more useful on my daily commute.

I drive to work every day, so I am quite familiar with the route. As such I don't need turn-by-turn navigation. However I would love to get navigation instructions when I am directed off my usual routed due to heavy traffic.

In this scenario, I imagine the instructions would continue until I am returned to my usual route. At which point Waze would stop giving me turn-by-turn navigation.

Is this something the app can already do?

No, it cannot. There is no concept of "usual route" in Waze either, so trying to identify being "off" the usual route is impossible in that regard. Someday, when we actually have "favorite" routes, this may be more likely possible.
