Navigation to Favorites not working

I have added Favorite addresses to both Home and Work. If I then select a Favorite address to navigate to I get an error message that says:

Uh-oh!
Search requires internet connection.
Please make sure you are connected.

This error occurs whether I am connected to wifi or my phone network. I am also able to manually search for an address to navigate to and it will work.

I am running the latest iOS version of the app (3.5.2) on the iPhone 5 (iOS 6). I am located in Australia.

Is anyone else having this issue? Have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling but same issue occurs.

I'm using iPad w/latest iOS and latest WAZE, I cannot enter my home or work address. The app seems to imply predictive address selection will occur, I get nothing and there is no "submit" button.

I like this whole concept, but this app is pretty wonky.
