Waze Community Code of Conduct
Hello All,
Waze's mission is to work together to improve the quality of everyone's daily driving.
When we say we want to work together, we mean everyone. To do that well, we need a community that is representative of the users we serve.
Waze is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community. Our community members thrive when we get this right. We aim to create a community that celebrates the diversity of our users, partners and drivers. We endeavor to build features that work for everyone by including perspectives from backgrounds that vary by race, ethnicity, social background, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status and national origin.
We are committed to a supportive work environment, where community members have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. We are striving to grow and preserve a community culture of mutual respect, transparency and acceptance where all voices may be heard. Community members are expected to do their utmost to create a space and culture that is free of harassment, intimidation, bias and unlawful discrimination.
Waze prohibits discrimination, harassment and bullying in any form – verbal, physical, or visual.
Therefore, we would like to ask for your cooperation to address others with respect and to weigh in on the effect your words and/or behaviour might have on others.
This is not limited to our virtual interaction channels (Waze official and non official channels) but also applies to the instances when we meet face to face. In some cultures, the norm might be to greet someone by hugging and kissing, however this may be inappropriate and unwelcomed to others. This makes it very important to be aware of and respect personal space so that everyone can feel welcome.
If you believe you’ve been bullied or harassed by anyone, we strongly encourage you to immediately report the incident to your Community Manager. We will promptly and thoroughly investigate any complaints and take appropriate action.
Please note that the Waze Community Code of Conduct also includes previously posted Community Communication Guidelines and serves as reminder to uphold Forum Etiquette.
We're more committed than ever to become a more diverse and inclusive Waze community.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Hila, Waze Communities Team Manager
