I misspelled the name of a place that I added to my favorites. No matter what I tired, I couldn't find a way to edit the name. All "edit" does is let me delete it from my favorites.
Please add this feature.

Just delete and re-add...

*sigh* Such a non-answer (not to blame the poster, but the product).
I guess if Waze is going for minimum viable product (a la "agile" software development), it's what we got. Still, a poor user experience.
