It's ridiculous to say that Waze is "totally ruined" because when you zoom out past the normal autozoom levels that Waze becomes unusable, which is what "ruined" suggests. It still works just fine.

Welcome to Selfish Wednesday, where people are only allowed to use the app in exactly the same way as you are using it!

I use Waze (or used to) in order to check for traffic problems along the route I travel, at a distance. That's all I use(d) it for (apart from reporting problems where I am to be a helpful member of the community). Now I can't do that - therefore, for me, it is totally ruined. I'm glad it's still doing what you need it to do, but it doesn't work 'just fine' I'm afraid.

This does need to be acknowledged. It used to be "just fine" , but now most roads disappear quickly when you zoom out. You don't even need to get close to the most zoomed out level. Did they just stop building tiles in some levels? What is even more confusing is that some stretches of some freeways are still there even in most zoomed out level.

Hi,

We isolated this issue and a fix will be uploaded to the server in the coming days.
In order to see these road on highest zoom level, you will need to refresh to maps first.

Thanks very much for the info Ori. Looking forward to this working in time to beat the Christmas traffic.

Apologies if one of my posts was a bit snarky, but when you've just sat in traffic for the second time because the app you used to rely on no longer works for you and no-one is even acknowledging there is a problem, you might be a little peeved too!

Hi,

We have just uploaded a fix to that issue.

Please note - users who already experienced this problem, have already downloaded the problematic tiles - they will need to do a "refresh map tiles" from the client in order to download the fresh set of tiles.

This doesn't appear to be fixed to me. I just did a test and starting from as close-in zoom you can get. After I had tapped '-' six times, ALL segments disappear including highways and freeway. Are you certain this isn't an app issue?
