Are you sure or doesn't? I thought this alert came through as well.

Feature request: Only talk for Exceptions

Postby cpragman » Sat Dec 08, 2012 9:32 pm

When using Waze on my daily commute, I like to keep the waze sound muted and listed to podcasts. Waze still talks to tell me about accidents and police ahead, which is fine.

I was thinking that it would also be helpful for waze to talk to me if there is an "exception" to my route, such as re-routing around a standstill, or guiding me after i've diverted from my regular route.

I'd like to know about upcoming diversions, and proceed to guide around them, without also having to fiddle with the mute control.

Since waze learns my regular commute, perhaps it would be possible to have a setting to have waze be silent, unless an exception to my route occurred.
