Lot of people do not know that speed camera voice warning is automatically turned off when speed is lower as marked (in camera data) and they report existing cameras by false warnings "missing speed camera".
I suggest one more option for client settings: "do not warn with voice, if speed is accurate" By default this option must be turned OFF!
This new option avoids lot of false camera reports... I think

We have long asked for more granular settings in the app. Cameras has been one of them.

Ok. If this is hard to do for developers, then maybe automatic deletion new cameras that are not approved during certain period (for example 1 week)

This is easy to develop on database level. Anyway coaching Wazers through settings gives more benefit - database and editors are less stressed by stupid data.

I don't think it is hard, but Waze is a small company and they have a business plan and roadmap which defines what work they will be doing. Often that means developing new features and not as much time for smaller requests and bug fixes.
Cameras do not appear in the app until after someone approves them in the editor. See the Cameras wiki page for more detail.
iOS and Tapatalk have conspired to screw up this post.
