This may be a small annoyance, but I'd like an option to un-highlight the parts of the route that have already been driven. As I'm driving from my house to work, the layout of the roads makes it so that in some areas, I can see my starting point on the map as I'm driving away from it, with a big purple line still going back to it. I just want the highlighting to be between my current location and destination.

I think this is a good idea as we don't need cookie crumbs to get back to where we've come from, if we need to go back, we can navigate back in time

I have also noticed this when traveling in small geographic areas within a city area and it can be confusing and distracting, I would think this would be relatively easy to do.

I don't understand why this is any kind of concern. Why scroll back and look at all?

Hi, Alan.
I don't think he's scrolling back. Sometimes parts of my route that I've already driven are highlighted because of where I've been on the current trip (due to required U-turns, travel through cloverleafs, etc.).
I agree with OP. It would be nice to have.

Correct it's not a matter of scrolling back but rather routes in small areas with several turns where it gets busy on the screen. Delete it like 300 feet behind you as you go along.

Living in French Alps, with many roads twisting on the mountains, it is sometimes confusing to see two purple traces going in two different directions after a turn...
