WazeBot: how to use it?

Postby LvcioT » Wed May 23, 2012 9:40 pm

I use Waze in Italy. Yesterday I've seen same reports of WazeBot "user": more police icons reporting traffic limited zone. In my mind this bot could be very useful.

How can I use WazeBot in my area?

Happy wazing to everyone!

WazeBot: how to use it?

It's a system called 'Feed the Waze, what's in beta testing by some Waze Champs right now. As soon the beta is public, I'm sure it will be announced on the forum by it's developer.

So, is that a fake waze client?

That could be *very* useful for me and some other AM's to srcript up during the olympics... London will be carnage if we don't do something.

Indeed. For UK there are some 'Champs' with rights to add these reports. Maybe you can add à new topic to the UK forum, where users can post this kind of reports. Those FM's (Feed Managers) can add them to the system. Discuss this with them ;)

I knew that it was a fake client. Also "infoblu" is a fake client in Italy.

Do you know how to take part to the testing? I'd like to use it in the area I manage.

Thanks for your time!

try to contact astrix06 by PM. I don't know any Italian Feed Managers. So I don't know if there are allready possibilities to participate. In the Netherlands we have à few users, who can add 'feeds'. We as FM have to approve them. So maybe in Italy there is a same situation. I'm shure Astrix will know that ;)

There are several of us in the UK testing the feeder at the moment. Bear in mind though it's currently aesthetic only, it has zero effect on the routing. Waze have an in-house technique for affecting the routing but it is not currently available to us end-users (yes, even the champs)
