Have you force-refreshed the map data from the Advanced settings?

Livemap has never really updated visually, though it still routes just fine on roads which appear to be invisible. As you find, when you click on the location, it does pop up and tell you what road you just clicked on, because it really is there. Just visually, Livemap rarely updates at this time. There's been several threads about this in the past month or so.

So someone who has rights on the world server in your country can check it out, please post a permalink to the area in question.

I think this is caused because the missing tile has no road on it. Because of that, it was not rebuilt during the infrastructure update. Tiles without roads, but with landmarks, will not be built.

To solve this, add a temporary road, somewhere on the blank tile. After the next update, the landmark should look OK in the client, and the road can be removed again.

Several issues with Waze lately...

Postby robenroute » Mon Jan 07, 2013 6:15 pm

Hi there,

I've been using Waze without many problems for the past year or so, but recently, a few issues did arise:

1.) The live map doesn't display any roads or other info. E.g., if I try to locate some place in Emmerich am Rhein (Germany), the live map shows mostly white:

2.) Possibly due to the problem mentioned above, calculating a route using the live map, seems impossible.

3.) The map in the app has bits and pieces missing, where the map in the editor clearly shows the info (and has been showing the info for many weeks/months already). A few weeks/months ago, the map in the app was fine, but it isn't any longer now. Look at the following screenshot, where part of the Rhine/Rhein (river in Germany) is missing:

Anyone any ideas if this is my doing something wrong? Or perhaps it's a glitch somewhere in Waze? I'm using Firefox 17.0.1 on Linux, by the way. Same thing happens when using Firefox on Windows 7.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your reply. I've forced downloading the data from the area concerned several times, but to no avails; that piece of the river is still missing. It's not the only piece missing, a few kms further downstream, same thing.

Regarding the live map: it shows the place entered during the search, but clicking on the map results in an error: "No street found at this point". Also, routing to a destination from this address is not possible.

Thanks again,
Rob
