Jolly drivers

Postby xteejx » Sat Oct 01, 2011 7:48 pm

Hey all,

I received an Update Request saying "roundabout behaving odd", so I fixed it and left this comment:

"This roundabout was not a roundabout, and was behaving odd for that reason. These roads have been given some strong words and told to stop messing drivers around by giving them wrong instructions. Consider this fixed :)"

I was going to put a note in about it's mother being told to have the roundabout treated to ADHD and given Ritalin but I thought that might be pushing it a bit!

Anyone else come across weird Update Requests and ever reply something out of the ordinary to them??

Great idea for a topic--enjoyed your response.

After seeing a few of these myself I started keeping a "hall of fame". Some examples:

“something strange happens to 35 here”
“not interstate map road”
“ada kodok” (Indonesian: translates as “there is a frog”) (this was left along a road in Kansas, not Indonesia)
“This isn’t even my state”
“bug”
“snowflake that won’t melt”
“Back up due to taco spill.”

And many, many complaints about GPS signal woes, unreachable road goodies, and scoreboard issues.

.... Taco backup... I can't go there!

"are you trying to kill us?" as the final UR after a sequence of reports along a VERY disconnected highway

"Taco backup"..."Eric Cartman's hand AKA Jennifer Lopez has travelled down this road and eaten the tacos. If you see any more tacos, please consider it a free meal and help yourself" lol

Bloody tacos.... funny stuff :)

I hate to not add anything of substance, but in this case I just have to say:

I have seen a couple of Update Requests: 'missing stop sign'.

I happen to know she was having an epic battle with her speech-to-text and was just relieved to get anything! Anyhow, you were NOT supposed to see it!
Another good STT sample from this crazy bird includes "elite roses" (= "delete roads" ) ...
