I never knew iOS had such a feature until I just tried it.

You never deleted an email in the Mail app this way? Bookmarks in Safari? Message threads in Messages? Notes in Notes? The list goes on and this type of deletion of items in a list has been around for years.

I've only had the iPhone for about 6 months. I probably delete 100 emails a day from it. I have my email settings set to leave the mail on the server for 2 weeks, so I can get the e-mail at home, at work and on my phone before it's gone from the server. I manually delete everything from the phone every day, but I always just hit the edit button and check them off when I'm ready to delete them. I had no idea you could swipe like that.

You may want to spend 15 minutes browsing through the iPhone User Manual - by default there is a link in Safari on your iPhone and see what else you are missing

You can shake to undelete? iPhone has a user's manual? I just found out yesterday I can receive calls on this thing! I was shocked when something in my pocket started ringing!
