I'm feeling more than a little pissy about the situation because there are other Colorado editors - namely thinking of tjreo, but I am sure there are others - who are doing correct and VALUABLE editing, responding really well to URs, interacting on the forum and directly with other AMs, etc. and who have been overtaken by The Family.

My sense is that tjreo is too generous of spirit to make a fuss, but I am not. It is wrong for the sense of community and competition as well as crapping up the client interface. This renegade behavior may result in a new lvl 4 (probably before me) who will be able to... pave paradise and put up a parking lot.

Now singing both songs at the same time! ... but I had to take my foot off the irrational pissy-fit gas pedal somehow :-)

I wasn't kidding about rearranging the roads to form a message telling them to "read the manual". Or just clear them all out ("select entire road" is your friend!), create a disconnected freeway or two through the middle of the lot named "lehtofamily: please ease up on parking lots and read http://...! and have a lvl4+ lock it. Hopefully that will get their attention. If not, I agree that Waze HQ should get involved; busywork should not be credited with massive amount of points.

I almost feel off my chair and checked my browser URL, THREE times. I could swear I had been looking at Google Maps.

I can hear 'the family' now:

Hey, honey - I need to get a new bra at Victoria's Secret. You know I just watched the fashion show on TV and I really want the pink one.

Sure, but you'll have to wait. Let me get Joe, Jesse, and Susie drawing in the parking lot first so we can make it to Aisle A2, space 392 before others get there for the bi-annual sale. Wow, it's great that we can all edit at the same time and rack up all of those points. These Waze points are going to get us a discount on the bra you want, right?

And damn, I can't understand why the map doesn't update immediately. There must be some type of help website for this damn Waze thing... They really should start up a Wiki that sets standards. And you know what, I saw something in my Sports Illustrated about something called a forum? At least we made it to our preferred parking space in the stadium last week!

Joe, Jessie, Susie, are you done yet?

Almost done daddy, but when is the map going to update again? Mommie really wants that pink bra...

Make a QR code out of freeway segments and they can scan it. Here's one to the parking lot roads section of "How to label and name roads":

Why is it that no one previously informed me that Waze points were redeemable for VS undergarments...? imma goin' on a shoppin' spree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, though. Just so we are clear, I can do nothing here. Barely in/out of my driving edit range, plus I'm still a lowly old lvl(3)

Well you could always request AM there :)

Not lowly at all. (3) isn't trivial. Lots if work to get that editor rank.
