Driving my usual route to work this morning and I noticed Waze making the rerouting sound quite a bit. Upon further inspection I noticed the map looked like someone drew grafitti all over it, and they were all converging at a single point. The highway I was driving on also appeared to be broken.

Looks like someone may have defaced the map. What is this location? Could you find it on the
map editor and post a permalink back here? (If you are outside the US/Canada the link is

Try refreshing the client map tiles. Or it might be that the editor has been updated (significantly) since the last map update.

Yeah, the editor has this area looking fine.
LiveMap looks ok too. Even has a nice thick, black RR runnin' through.
Seems like some corruption in the tiles download. Tile refresh is found under Settings/Advanced/Data Transfer.

I had something similar occur a couple of weeks ago. Restarting the Waze application resolved it.
