I ping Support again on this matter, and got the following response from Ori:

Our map-team is working on Europe's mainland coast line these days and will "arrive" to the UK shortly.

After all borders are corrected, we will upload this fix to the servers.

Meantime, if you wish, You can contact areamanagers@waze.com and inform them you wish to get a specific area on the coast of the UK.

By granting you editing permissions in a specific area, we can "work around" the borders' bug.

If only they could actually update those same borders to include coastlines in the app/livemap!

How do you ping support?

Ever since they went to the web based support form I never get a reply ... I'm sure it's nothing personal but I've all but given up on actually sending support requests as I never get a rely.

I'm reluctant to start spamming the Waze team directly on their email addresses, but ...
