The mileage points haven't changed at all in 4 weeks of driving 350+ miles each of those 4 weeks. However the traffic report one has.

So every day I am driving around 70 miles, 35 to work and 35 back plus normal weekend miles on top. Every day I check the dashboard. Driving alerts are updated but 'new kilometers' always shows 0.

I even found a road that needed 'munching' and drive that to make sure it was picking up the fact if driven. That updated correctly.

So why am I not getting any mileage points? Do u have to do a weekly minimum first?

So this is why I started this week with 12,000 points? I was very surprised after doing hardly any editing during the prior week up until Monday.

And still not showing in the top 50 all time? Must be a new user? He jumped 4.2 million spots for the week, so he probably started at zero.

I'm in the same boat with DonJ2, point decreased (by more than 200K!), map edits went up, driving alerts and cookie eater point to 0. no ranking. if i go to the scoreboard i have a ranking of "-1". Is that like an imaginary ranking?

What is going on?

Correct...when I first noticed it, I was worried that it was a problem on my client end. I had been doing these marathon editing sessions for about 10 days and had maintained close to first place since they fixed the weekly stats. Then all of a sudden palmerit was way ahead of me. I was wondering if I was the only one.

Now of course I realize that palmerit is a very enthusiastic editor and I've run out of two-way no-turn-restriction suburbia and I'm slowing down a bit. :D

@jasonh300 Thanks for the kind words. I know which week you are talking about. I went on an editing ramapage one week, and was #1 in the country. then I did 0 editing for 3 days. You were way ahead in points. The next day (still no edits) I looked again, and I had recieved about 30k points (assuming from candies I'd eaten a couple weeks before during the editing rampage.)

One of the things I've been thinking about doing, is creating a spreadsheet to help keep track of points. For my own curiosity as well as to help identify issues. So, before I learn enough OO, or google apps spreadsheet to do this, I was wondering if anyone had an existing spreadsheet they use? Would you be willing to share?

The 1.5 points per edit that the wiki shows is not set in stone...some types of edits may be worth more or fewer points. The exact point values haven't been made available to us. The points the wiki shows is just an average.

I've seen hints in the forums that Waze has claimed the points for various edits have different "values" ie, changing a roads name may be more points than setting directionality. As near as I can tell, this has never been verified or clarified from Waze. (Of course, I've only been using Waze for a month.. so it could be that I just wasn't around when it was announced, I haven't stumbled across the appropriate wiki page/forum post.

But based on your ~400 point daily discrepancy, It's possible that you've stumbled across one of those "worth slightly more points than a typical edit" edits.

If my AM area wasn't in such poor shape, I'd be willing to spend a couple weeks doing a daily test. make 1 map edit a day, and see what the resulting "points" change was.

In fact, I may sign up an alternate account just to do that. If I do, should I start another thread and list my daily results?

IE:

Change directionality: 1.5 points.
Enable all turn restrictions: 1.5 points
Change City Name: 8 points
etc etc (obviously, these are made up just for an example)

In regards to the message http://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=13037 does this mean that updates are going to be put on hold until these new implementation are put in place? I haven't seen any type of update since 10/31
