seems reasonable considering the HUGE opportunity this represents.

I'll be happy to help out down there, if you want to point me to what needs attention. I finished of a bit of the Weymouth Relief Road earlier this week.

Not too sure what can be done until Waze HQ have said whether they're up for giving London specific editing more server time.
As far as editors and editing go I'm up for helping with the road editing for changes, closures etc.
The very least HQ could do would to be to start an Olympic goodies competition for London to encourage users to really go and confirm loads more roads. The 6 months would give enough time if it was left on constantly.

That should work almost perfectly for what we need. There will be turn restrictions, which may be the only problem, but I'm sure people don't rely on their GPS so much that they can't read the Olympic signs...

Anyway, FAO Waze HQ, I have managed to grab a couple of contacts you can use to get in touch with our TV networks directly. I've tried looking up some old radio contacts but it hasn't been very successful :(

Commercial Contacts
ITV Network Centre,
200 Gray's Inn Road,
London,
WC1X 8HF
Tel: 020 715 66000

gayle.gilfoy@itv.com is the main contact for ITV's corporate arm, who deal with inquiries about corporate ventures, info about the company etc.

Probably easier to ring them so they can give an idea how to proceed with them.

Well if we can get any of the AMs that surround London to perhaps apply for temporary AM there to be able to edit fully and respond to URs that would be brilliant! Any takers?
Infrastructure, as you say, is the main problem. I only know the A13 past Isle of Dogs and a small bit of Whitechapel.
I'm hoping nearer to the time the URs will begin flooding in, and we can both jump on that (and any other covering AM).

Any chance you (David) could draw up a list of the major roads in and out of the Olympic site, i.e. major A roads, TfL trunks, etc so we can start there and work through it methodically? :) I would do it but don't know it too well.

And I'll be checking the Kent connections are working leading up to the summer. Especially from Kent Intl airport and Dover. We can't assume that visitors won't use other airports esp Luton and Stansted, perhaps not so much gatwick but M23 to M25 works perfectly as do the main connections here in Kent.
Any specifics anyone needs a hand with let me know I can edit anywhere in SE and see URs etc.
No complaining if I jump on one and fix it

I gave them a few contacts but not heard anything regarding whether they bothered to try and make contact or not.

Hey hey! Why am I so popular so suddenly? Oh right, you want something hehehhee :)
Umm, major Kent roads are pretty much done now, haven't had a chance to do much of London as yet but sounds like you guys have already been having a go on those roads.

Any specifics need looked at or double checked?
