Two issues, not new, but not fixed by the beta:

1) Can only have one saved destination on an unnamed road at a time. Saving a new destination on an unnamed road will cause other unnamed road destinations to disappear, though it takes at least an application restart before they go away.

2) The "Driving to Home?" style prompt will clear any current destination, even if prompt is dismissed.

Not working properly on Galaxy Y GT-S5360B (brazilian version), firmware: stock 2.3.6 - kernel 2.6.35.7.

* Samsung Galaxy Y/Spica users - please send us your feedback regarding map fonts (some of you have reported about distorted street names).

I downloaded and tried it. It installed flawlessly (no forced close, no hangup) but there were no other change either.

The map is not showing I see only garbage instead. The menu are good and it navigate. Also I can see the pink line as the planned route, jut the map missing.

I have had this issue with the current version and the beta. I am running ICS 4.0.3 on a HTC Inspire 4G and the icons are missing their titles. please see attached.

Hi guys,

We released a quick and temporary beta version, with a limited amount of fixes.
Just a few critical issues that concerned mostly:

* Map fonts fix for Motorola defy, HTC Legend and others.
* Shutdown process fix - Milestone devices crash/freeze on exit.

* Samsung Galaxy Y/Spica users - please send us your feedback regarding map fonts (some of you have reported about distorted street names).

@perlin Do you want people with only said devices running this beta or is this for gen pop? It seems like the only fixes are for those said devices, so it wouldn't make sence for the rest of us to run and test for you.

No need for everyone to download it. Just those with the said devices.
As I've mentioned, this is a small beta version, with targeted fixes.

Apparently the problem with the distorted street names is not fixed yet.
We're still working on it and hope it will be fixed for next version.

Hello, Motorola Defy user here .. I didn't notice anything wrong with map fonts in previous versions

The problem I see is with certain custom ROMs, where Waze fails to interpret a path with double slashes (/system/fonts//something ... /sdcard/waze//something..) I know you don't support custom ROMs, but this happens only with Waze. Also Android (=Linux) interprets multiple slashes correctly by default - when I do "cd /sdcard//waze" terminal changes the directory to /sdcard/waze.

On Wildfire - better performance when only driving with waze turned on. The map lag is really low if any. When navigating, the map lag is still there.
