I'm a package delivery driver and use Waze daily on my route. Last week when I arrived at work the manager calls me into his office and informs we that a complaint has been filed against me. The complaint alleged that I was driving "well in excess of 70 MPH" on a 45 MPH road. Knowing that this was untrue I told him I could prove it. I explained Waze and asked to use his computer. Logged into my dashboard, pulled up the route for the day in question and zoomed to the road. Clicking everywhere on the track displayed showed the speed and exact time on where ever you clicked. The fastest speed recorded by Waze on that street was 41 MPH. Case closed.
Thanks Waze.
Note: This is the second time I've used Waze for work issues. The first time was when someone claimed that I didn't deliver their package. Waze showed enough detail, (date, time, exact location of stop, etc) to prove that I did indeed stop at the correct address and deliver the package.
