Same thing on my Nexus S : no connection, and TTS enabling doesn't work.
I also note some maps displaying problems.

I ask to you 'cause we have the same device.
When you do a search, can you see results?

When I do a search I get an error 'cause no connection but that seems normal.
Indeed with tts in small letters I'm also able to enable TTS but can't try it.

I can do search, also if it's always "looking for network" but I can't see results.
Instead TTS and the italian voice are working good.

with the new Waze v.3.1.99.102 beta I am experiencing the following problem:

As you can see in the screenshot some strange roads appear in both free drive and go to mode. They do not exist in the real world. The vocal and written instructions are right, so Waze tells you to turn following the real roads.
The roads of the area are well edited by me, so they are not errors on the Waze maps.

this morning I have tested the new TTS feature and apparently there is something going wrong with the language selected after enabling TTS.

Basically after enabling TTS, all the road names were spoken with the correct Italian pronounce (I would give it a 3.5 score), but the directions are given in a different language (maybe german or some eastern europe language).

Moreover, at some point during navigation I have lost the GPS position fix and I was unable to recover it after a long time. This happened at around 9am this morning, so you can check the timestamp of the logs that I have uploaded on the server.

Ciao, I'm an italian beta tester for Android. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace with Gingerbread 2.3.6.
So far I have traveled about 130/150 km and I haven't encountered any problems of language or connecting to the GPS or the server (what a lucky guy!!!).
I still use it every day by sending many logs that I hope will help the development of Waze!

Same for me here, no network connection with 3G, wifi or else. Network browsing works at the same time, so the network connection is there.

First of all thank you for testing and feedbacking!
Secondly, I'm sorry if I misled you, it's indeed ##@tts and not ##@TTS. Next time I'll be more careful.
We are aware of the network connection failure and will release soon a beta with a fix for that.
Same thing for the Italian TTS voice files (some of you mentioned that they're in English but with an Italian accent...).

Question for the French users: does the french TTS work fine for you? Can you confirm that it's indeed in French?
