Installed and works well so far. I really like the voice command stuff.

One problem - I tried the share location email, sent to myself and the email I got has no links in it.

Worked fine for me. Both "here" were links. Is your email client set up to send plain text only?

New:
* TTS (text-to-speech) is now available in various languages and for ROW server. Supported countries:

Sweden
Brazil
Italy
France
Spain
Mexico
Netherlands

TTS is enabled by default only on supported countries.
Note: when TTS is ON (meaning the 'Level of guidance' is set to Full), you can choose only Female/Male in the 'Navigation guidance' menu. So if you want to change the navigation guidance language, change the 'Level of guidance' to Minimal, select the desired language and change back to Full.

* Hands free operation (ASR) - use voice commands to share road events or have waze direct you to home or work

requires Google speech recognition engine installed
'3 fingers tap' (to activate the ASR) might not work on custom ROMs (let us know)

Note: ASR is available only in the US server!!!


* Navigation list is back! You'll find it in the main menu (while in navigation mode, swipe to the left)

* More in navigation options - set as start point, share, show on map

* Share location & destination (with the ability to notify you are late to your destination)

* Major map drawing performance improvements

Bug fixes:
* Fixed infinite loop caused by starting navigation from contacts/calendar
* Fixed crash when declining license agreement
* Fixed stability problems
* Fixed no network connection bug
* Fixed bug that caused police reports not to appear on the map

Known issues:
* Widget is not working
* Nearby Wazer - tapping the arrow will not take you to see the wazer
* Some of you reported about voice commands in English with Italian accent, please let us know if that's fixed.

The map is *so* much quicker to render. Actually impressed!

Everything works well, except for the map. There is major road distortion, as noted on the 3.1.99.102 thread. Except for that all other features work great and network + GPS are stable.

Weird. I am using K9 Version 4.009 on my phone and Outlook on my PC. I sent a link from my phone to the PC, and the link went through fine. Using the Waze send location function, the links disappeared when the email is viewed on the PC or on the phone.

The email that Waze generates that shows up in K9 before sending it has underlined links, but the saved version of the mail in my sent folder and what I receive they are converted to text. Hmmm.

Edit: I made the same test sending with gmail and it works as expected, so it is something do to with K9.

I tried this waze beta on my way home.

I noticed the following:

- Menu

When I press on the menu button, then slide to the left the menu slides so I can open the settings menu etc.
Then when I close the menu and reopen it again, the menu is at the left side again.
I think it should remain at the same position.

- TTS
The dutch TTS only has a female voice.
Besides that is the tekst she reads an english tekst, but I can hear very clearly she is dutch..

Question:
Is TTS also enabled for belgium?

It also could be a bit louder, I almost can't hear it when driving.

Also I hear no streetname at 800m. (But this could be a feature.. )

- Map drawing
It is much faster indeed!!

Sometimes alot of letters isn't shown, when viewing the map.

When I started waze for the first time there were some small graphic deformations.

- Widget
The widget does sometimes work.
