First impressions, so far.

As others, the is a Spanish speaker trying to pronounce English sentences, except street names and "y luego (and then)" when there are two instructions very close. I have selected Spanish with guidance = minimal and then changed to full, as suggested in the mail message.

There is a problem with special characters (ñ , á, é...). The string passed to the voice lib is wrongly formatted and in the best case, the char is not pronounced. 'ñ' is whatever + "mas o menos".

Samsung Galaxy S2 + official ICS: freezing continously, no roads layer

That's true, the "and then" is pronounced well in Dutch too, being the only correct Dutch instruction.

Indeed. For the dutch it's the same.
I hear 'en dan' wich means 'and then'.

I'm just installed this version into my Samsung.

As a first impression the map render changed but not better. Only different. (and yes I removed the previous version and deleted the waze directory from the SD)

Tomorrow I will test it more.

Installed it earlier and used it for my drive home (approx 60 miles) and the map seemed to render and update quicker in this version and I didn't notice any real rendering problems with text.

The TTS seemed to give appropriate instructions but it was really hard to hear; the voice is both overly quiet (even when the phone's volume is turned up) and had an awful lot of distortion that made it sound like you are receiving a poor quality radio signal.

No, shouldn't be necessary but if you do run into problems it can sometimes solve them.

Stil crashes on startup on LG Prada 3.0 P940 with Android 2.3.7. Must go back to 3.0.1.0. Logs sent.

OMG i just uninstalled old version and than deleted folder from SD, installed new beta and .... IT works!
