Missing streets

Postby ynkomyanko » Sat May 12, 2012 7:02 am

I have been trying so switch from using other gps programs to yours but there are a few more missing streets than on your competitors. I would be great if there were a way to type a name of a missing street and drive the distance to mark it for you. I deliver pizza while in school and would be more than happy to help out while driving every nook and cranny in my area. I just need the tools.

While driving in area with missing streets, you can "record" them: switch the Waze program into "steamroller road paving" mode - it will then tell the server about the geometry of the missing roads, which will then later appear on the map. (Please do not forget to switch the recording off, after arriving on existing roads. Just, wait a bit, until a blue line (which marks a newly recorded road) turns into red, otherwise the blue would vanish.)

While being on such unnamed road, you can also use a "Map error report" function of the program, which has a place to type in e.g. the missing street name.

while trying to get used to Android 3.6.xx.yyy (SG-A2).
