Disappearing landmarks

Postby invented » Mon May 14, 2012 10:39 pm

I'm having this odd issue where landmarks start disappearing off the Update Map yet still persist on the Live Map. An example is Lake Ontario that I drew into the Canadian side of the thing; the next cycle, the landmark had disappeared, but still remains on the live map. The smaller lakes and creeks that I'm drawing in persist on both maps though. Now I'm finding that bridge landmarks are disappearing all throughout the city of Welland along the Welland Canal on the Update Map, but they're still there on the Live Map. So how am I supposed to edit them if I need to? For example, I want to draw Lake Ontario up to the south shores of Oakville to Toronto, but can't because it's gone.

Disappearing landmarks

Possibly Lake Ontario uses more nodes than the client can handle but not too many nodes for the livemap. The bridges must be a different story. What type of landmark did you use (i seem to remember that bridge is only available in the old cartouche)?

The client displays the lake properly, it's the Update Map where it's completely missing. It was there for a few weeks, and I have rivers that have way more nodes than a great lake (more twists) that are still showing up fine. The bridges have like 4 nodes, using the 'Bridge' landmark.

Found my bridges, had to zoom in really close and then hover around and the landmark popped up. Lake Ontario is still gone though.

We lost the North Sea twice, in the Netherlands. Too bad landmarks can not be locked! Try asking support if they can dig it from the worldwide wastebin.
