In Sweden we don't have a basemap and most streets have no street numbers. Approx. half of the user requests that I solve are due to lack of street numbers. Users get directions to the middle of the street, gets annoyed and enter a user request with type "General error".

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Waze outsources its address lookups to Bing and/or Google."? I know you can perform a Google/Bing search in the client, but if I search for a specific address ("street 1, city") is Google/Bing involved?

I still use Cartouch for "Pending deletes" and street numbers. WME for everything else.

That's because that isn't a "delete" key, it's a "backstage" key... It's mishandled because you have a mac..

I was indeed referring to something different. Geometry points are called "nodes"; the "superfluous nodes" that you mentioned are called "junctions", not "nodes". :ugeek: But back to the point, yes, both nodes and junctions can be deleted easily in WME (nodes with the "D" key, junctions with the trash can icon or the "DEL" key). :)

* Add house numbers (especially for new roads with no reference data on navigation for users)
* Edit the alternate street names
* Remove extra nodes in roads where they are unnecessary

One more: If wazer report an UR on Livemap, you can only see it on old cartouche.

Waze had previously stated that external providers are used to resolve street name addresses for basemapped countries. They have never stated as much for non-basemapped countries.

So likely if your country did not originate from a basemap there is no external provider for resolving street addresses. Since Waze has not yet added a method to add this data in WME, it's a bit of an issue.

As you know, currently you can add them in Cartouche. But once that editor is retired and this functionality is not added into WME, this will become a bigger issue.

But really, I don't think it is reasonable to Waze to expect that house numbers be added on every street by their volunteer editors. It's an incredible amount of work.

Thinking about this more, Waze should display a message when you start on route 'Waze does not have specific address issue for this route, you will be routed to an approximate location' when a specific address is not found via the Waze map data or external address provider lookup.

I don't know why "D" was NOT working for me when I first tried it in the new editor, but I see it works for me now.

It is a typical issue with waze - adding the street numbers is broken in cartouche, but there is no indication of that, if you confirm the address and add street name it turns white from red but when you click again you see that nothing has changed or updated. However users are not informed about it and I see many users trying to add the numbers in vein. But community works is free isn't it, so why not let them f... around a bit until they realize that it's not working?
