Rename Entire Street - Not available?

When I select a series of roads, I am no longer able to select the Edit Street option to rename it. This street in Oakland, CA is really "Lake Shore Ave", but Waze calls it "Lakeshore Ave"

Is there an easier way than selecting each of these segments one by one in the new editor?

This usually has one of two causes:
1) One or more of the segments is outside of your editable area.
2) One or more of the segments has been locked by a higher-ranked editor (only applies if you are not an Area Manager for that area).

In this case, there are a lot of segments in the vicinity of I-580 that have been locked, so I'd guess that it's the second option. If this is your home area, you might want to consider applying to become an AM for this area; otherwise, you can select the segments that need unlocked and post a permalink in the "Update Requests" sub-forum to request that they be unlocked.

Thanks Spil. I did finally find more info including what you described below.

I have been using the unlock threads for many locked roads as you recommended here as well.

Also I did apply to be an AM for my area. I need to follow up on that request to save other people in the unlock thread a lot of work supporting me.
