I'm not sure what you mean by "cut off"; I have noticed that when playing audiobooks or podcasts in the "Music" app (I don't use Audible), the voice does not pause, but reduces volume temporarily. Unfortunately, this not only makes it hard to understand either voice (it's like two conversations in a room), but it makes me miss my podcast audio and have to rewind.
It does however continue normally after Waze is done with the direction voice.

Hello folks! 1st, thanks for taking time to read this post. ^_^
When I have Waze on my iPhone4 with directions on while having audible app playing, sometimes audible gets cut off. when i start playing again in the background, it cuts off again. so, when i switch to listening to podcast after getting frustrated, sure enough cuts off.
I was wondering if anybody else is having this problem. any fixes out there?
thanks again ^_^

"cuts off" like crashing the audible or music player on my iPhone. Then I'll have to try to turn it back on again but it's rinse & repeat problem

Many people knows about that issue

Waze used to have on/off for that but not in this version. I'm with you though, that reduction in volume is annoying
