Am I the only guy in the Wellington region using this app? Sure seems like it.

Pitty that there are not that many users yet - Great Application though

Hi Kiwidroid

I'm in Wellington and using the app too, have been for about 3 months now. It's a great concept but the implementation and persistent major problems leave more than a little to be desired...

I've noticed a couple of other names pop up every now and again while driving so think there's at least 4 of us :)

What are the maps like in Wellington these days?

I've stayed away from that area

I'm starting to see more & more users when i'm driving - thought that may be just because i'm driving more often. I wonder if the iOS6 Maps app quality will push some folks to explore the other options that exist.

As for the maps around Wellington, they seem pretty good these days - hard to find anything that needs tweaking/correcting - though as with other parts of the country I think some of the City Area overlays are a bit weird.

It sure seems like there are a lot of baby wazers popping up recently, its great.

I'm only in the city once every week or two, but don't come across any major issues either. Although, I did wonder why Courtenay place was split in two - I don't know a lot about splitting roads, but as far as I can tell it doesn't fit the criteria for splitting?

I dislike double tracking

the question is, does it work?

In many cases the double tracking does work well. One of the most noticeable is in small towns like Matamata where there is a significant distance between the two sides of the road. Auckland has a number of roads where this is appropriate and works well too.
One of the guides I use it that when zoomed to 100m you should see two distinct lines in the GPS track.

I'd say its debatable whether Courtney Pl should be a double carriageway. Taking it to a single two way road would simplify the intersection at the eastern end. The left turn could also be simplified by removing the turn lane.

Used waze down Courtney Pl a while back. The double tracking seemed to work really well.
