How do we get to hear that in the US? I want to hear a proper UK woman telling me what to do and imagine it is Helen Mirren.

Hi,

Discussed before about speed cam etc warning and I was getting neither.
With this new client I am now getting verbal (abuse?) about red light cams.. :)
None for speed though...

Des. . . ;)

Apart from one "Initialize" ... there was also a "Waalking Trail"

I've sent the corrections of to Shirli and asked them to sort the Bronze/Silver/Gold issue too. :D

Tidworth - being pronounced as Pethworth (yes, seriously)
Idmiston - being pronounced as Ithmiston

This is different to TTS, this translation deals with spelling in the menus and dialogue boxes in the client rather than pronunciation by the TTS voices.

Dave, these were translated mate. Make sure your ui is set to UK English

Yes I was using UK English.

Shirli confirmed to me in an email that the language file had been updated and the errors I PM'ed you about have all been corrected.

I have deleted the language file from my iPhone and and restarted Waze to force it to download it again and the new file has all the corrections in it. (I'm not sure if Waze can push it anyway so I did this to make sure).

Just gotta try out the TTS tomorrow on my commute to Telford ... is N/S/E/W still not working?

New 'UK English' language in the client

xteejx wrote:Nope. Ffffffffff! I had an email today saying they'd look into it and let me know. In the meantime I've been fiddling with the lang_uk_tts file as I saw north, South etc in there, but changing any of them to (N) (S) etc hasn't made a difference. Not sure if the client is overriding those changes or something, but yeah, changing anything there doesn't seem to work.

I was going to try (N) etc as well, I guess I don't need to bother now.

It was still broken at 6am this morning.

My phone was a little confused last night, the directions were spoken by Daniel but the warnings were spoken by Natalie!
