Is the user's editing level/number of cones available to the Extended Tools code? If so, it may be good to institute a permissions level scheme for Extended Tools.
Yes, someone can edit the add-in code, BUT it will stop brand new users who are just pressing buttons to see what happens.

Maybe limiting this tool's use to zoom level 5 or higher might work too.

I like both of these ideas. I could get more on board if it was limited to long term (mega) editors, the assumption being they have a vested interest rather than just seeking edits/points.
And a zoom level that encourages actual looking at what you're doing whilst limiting its scope.
And I still think this thread should be moved to some higher hidden sub-forum and the wiki entry should somehow be hidden too.

Although the Extended Tools authors will disagree, I also think that these type of enhanced tools should be very carefully controlled. Way too much damage can be done too quickly with no feasible method to roll back the changes.

With the new 1.5.2 version and Chrome I have started to see this problem:
http://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20123I also agree that some options are just too dangerous, 'mass-misediting' tools. And others have been extremely useful, to be fair.
Haven't checked with 1.5.3.

Yes, thank you for the very quick turn around. Good to know the ability exists to utilize permissions.

For those who did not notice (I missed this for a while), once you enable Full Screen mode there is a new button with a yellow wrench next to the Find button that gives you access to the WME Ext Tools including the ability to return to a standard screen.

Would it be possible to add the feature to split multiple two-way-segments, onto two one-way-segments?, I mean, "spliting" multiple segments, maintaining street type, name and all the other properties.
Thanks in advance!
