I found a connectivity issue on the A57 around Worksop, which I think I've fixed. I don't know if this will correct your route or not though. I'll check it again in a couple weeks when the changes have gone live.

Waze shows two routes on the website: http://world.waze.com/livemap/?zoom=4&l ... &to_seg=-1
The purple route down the M1 comes off at J26 onto the A610, with a estimated time of 1 hour 4 minutes; potentially faster than the route you took. Meanwhile, the blue route avoids going anywhere near the A57 and Worksop, yet the return journey is correct.

It could be that Waze routed you the longer way to avoid some traffic congestion, or some roads that it knows to be slow at certain times of the day.

It took me 2 months before Waze became "good" for my 6 mile drive to work. I'm talking using Waze every day, editing every map issue clean, and 1/3 of the time driving the stupid routes Waze suggested to prove they were slower.

I think of Waze as my know it all friend. He always thinks he's right, and he's kind of a slow learner. Even when you drive the dumb route he'll just claim that you were just unlucky, and it normally should have been faster. So you have to prove it by driving both his way and your way again and again until he can't deny his error any more. He's kinda slow but eventually he will figure it out.

After two months, Waze works flawlessly for the daily drive. It picks the best route, and has even come up with some new ways that I had never thought of. I love it. But if I need to reliably get somewhere I have never been, I use my Garmin.
