First Use

Postby shage13 » Thu Jun 14, 2012 2:21 pm

First use coming from another program we used it for a 1500 mile trip, our review is its a great tool, my only complaint is that other wazers were in front of us on the trip would love to mark broken down car on the side of the road 4min before we got there but not the cop that was sitting in the median, or something like dead animal in road but not the fly over speed trap that was going on, we dont speed but nice to know when people are going to slam on their breaks, but over the hill was a dozen patrol pulling over people by pointing, but keep up the good work the software ran perfect the whole way

Just need to get less people worrying about the points for pointing out broken tagged cars for towing on a 10 lane highway that is not a problem at all and point out more important things like accidents, rush hour, cops, etc :)

Indeed. Personally I think the points system is just a gimmick for some people to try and cheat on. When you've been here a while, the map matters more than the points :-) No one else has it though so I shouldn't complain too much :-P

I like to give a Police reports in particular a thumbs up in client when I see them. When my reports get a thumbs up from someone it means more to me than the 6 points I got for reporting it as I know that it's been some use to another Wazer.

Also when you get over 400 different people giving you a thumbs up on reports, you are added to a special VIP category called Mega Reporter.

First Use

Postby johnarbor » Sun Jun 24, 2012 5:17 pm

When I first started using waze, I tried to mark everything. Some was for the points, but mostly because I thought I should mark anything I see. Then when I came across something like a radar trap it would not let me mark it, because I had made too many reports too quickly. I learned fast not to worry about the little things that don't matter and worry only about the things that will actually impact other drivers.
