I have a comment about syntax that TTS uses which has been bothering me ever since I started using waze.
While approaching a turn the TTS prompt is along the lines of: "In point one mile . . . get ready to turn right." I interpret that as wait for 0.1 mi then get ready to turn right. I've always thought the appropriate way to express the prompt would be more like: "Get ready to turn right in point one mile." Maybe it's just me being anal, but I mock the TTS directions every time that I hear that.

Hmm.

1. Sometimes looses GPS for no reason. It is regained after some time.
2. Looses GPS when showing speed camera warning. And the car is stalled until message closed.
3. Still no possibility to disable annoying pop-ups while standing.
4. Still often changes direction of movement while standing, which leads to route recalculation. Maybe add some delay, so it does not change route when gps rotates while standing - only while driving.
5. Waze closes sometimes by itself. Logs sent.

Translate errors in the Italian version:

In the meeting section you should write "Invia un email ai tuoi amici"
In the my waze section "Il mio profilo"
In general setting "Prevent auto-lock" must be translate, and could be "Impedisci lo stand-by"
In advanced setting "Auto learn routes..." must be translate, and could be "Impara automaticamente le rotte verso le destinazioni frequenti"
In data transfer "refresh map of my area" must be translate, and could be "Aggiorna la mappa della mia area"

In case you encounter a translation problem in the client menus, you can make the changes yourself very easily, by updating the translation file. Visit this wiki page and find all the relevant explanations.
Second option is to contact Shirli in translations@waze.com and write her the problem. She's in charge of all the translation issues.

Just to repeat a couple of fixes for my personal annoyances:

1) Replace the traffic report phrase 'in the neighborhood of' with 'by' or 'near' - then there might be room on the display for the actual location rather than leaving me guessing.

2) All traffic/speed/incident pins on the map to have lane direction indicator arrows so I know instantly whether they apply to me without the need to touch/select them while driving.

The auto move to the next grade is nice, but there is no indication that that happened or a method to not enter for the next grade. Sometimes, I only want to update what is either visible from the road while waiting for a turn which is not a full price list, or the pump clears all prices that are not being pumped and I forget the other prices.

I agree that the auto-move to the next grade can be a bit confusing. It seems like the next grade clears out, but in fact it doesn't. If you tap again on the price you've entered you'll see that the next price remains. Even if you select "update" - it will still be there. So in fact you don't have to fill all the prices.
Anyway we will change that method.

Has anyone been having any trouble when moving around on the map and selecting other Wazers, etc? It seems like randomly when I do this the client freezes for 30+ seconds then eventually un-freezes.

Actually yes, I usually get a prompt from my OS saying that Waze isn't responding with a wait / force close option.

Thanks for the confirmation guys, I wonder if sending logs would do anything useful here. To me it seems like this might happen more if there's not yet a GPS lock or there's a data issue.. Have you thought the same, or have you observed it enough to say?

Logs would be very helpful! Please reproduce and send logs right after it crashes. Notify me after you send (including date and time).

I don't know if this was also happening in previous versions but earlier today I got a speed camera warning based on the direct physical distance rather than the road distance, didn't have chance to take a screen shot however...

The road in question sort of doubles back on itself and the camera was ultimately on my route but I got the warning at about 400 meters from the camera, unfortunately I wasn't on the stretch of road approaching so the distance dropped to about 300 meters before I was then moving away from the camera, by the time I reached the U turn in the road and actually started approaching the camera it was reporting a distance in excess of 1.5 KM
