Beta testers should be aware that this beta does not enable debug mode by default.

If desired you can enable this by typing "2##2" into the search box.

The iPad is working better for gas prices now, but still needs some work with the price entry screen.

Here it is in landscape:

Note the huge empty space in portrait mode. The keypad is tiny and difficult to see.

I've never seen what this looks like on the iPhone. Does it also have that much unused space?

For comparison, here's the price entry screen on the GasBuddy app (it forces portrait mode and shares the UI with the iPhone):

This is much simpler: only ten digits plus a delete key. For someone trying to post prices while moving, this is easier and less likely to produce errors. Errors are compounded in Waze's version since if you attempt to post while moving, and the price isn't accepted, the only way to fix it is to hit "back" and load the list of stations again, and the one you were posting may be more than 500m away by that point.

I think a simpler keyboard like this would be a huge improvement. Include a decimal point if you're not going to be able to default to an assumed decimal for each country. That's still only 12 keys. All the %&() are useless and don't need to be there. My number one error when posting prices is hitting comma instead of period.

Searched for a McDonald's earlier and the closest one it could find by default was 150 miles away. Tried Category search Fast Food and nine listed. Went back to the test search and scrolled through the search providers and finally got to YP and it found one 1.2 miles away.

Don't know if this is something with the beta or just poor search indexing.

The search has really always been somewhat unreliable. Hopefully it will be improved at some time in the future.

Had a crash today when I tried to add a stop. It asked if I wanted to send logs. I said Yes and it compiled them and said Sending 1/453. Then it timed out 30 seconds later as usual.

It was suggested a while back that I send them while connected to wifi, and I asked how to do that and was told that it's impossible unless it crashes while in range of wifi.

This has happened again and again. I've never been able to send logs.

I think I have 6+months of logs piled up and it's too much to send. How can I clear them out?

I'm not drunk...I'm using Tapatalk.

I agree, but I've never had this much trouble with something so common. Usually it's with some obscure place that only has one location.

They may purge themselves automatically. Otherwise the least technical way may be to remove Waze and reinstall. Beware that you will need to redo your settings and will lose your recent destinations.

I finally could after I got home to wifi immediately following a day of multiple crashes last month. It didn't start right away, but I left it running and eventually there was some sort of confirmation message.

Of course, I never heard whether anyone received anything, or if they were valuable at all.

Based on past difficulties reporting "ice" and "lane closed" hazards, I tried reporting both today. Both succeeded on the first try. Thank you!
