For the past half-hour or so, WME seems to be choking on deleting junctions (combining two segments with the same city, name, direction and type into one by deleting the junction between them). It doesn't matter which junction I try to delete; even if it's the only edit in the change set when I click on the save icon, I get back "An error occurred while saving. Please try again."
[Running Firefox 14.0.1 on either Windows 7 or Linux. Reloading the page doesn't matter. Either it takes a really long time to save, or more often it takes a long time then reports the error message, and the map (as seen in another editor) is unchanged. This could be a timeout situation.]

WeeeZer, I was never able to duplicate that auto capitalization in the beta (as recently as yesterday). I remember you mentioning it a couple of months ago. Is this now happening in WME? Is it happening to anyone else?

...Beta editor? Where is this, and is it mentioned on the Wiki/FAQ/etc. in reasonably prominent places? I must've missed this somewhere.
There's a beta version tested by the Waze Champs.

Are you sure it's not your browser doing some kind of autocorrect? Or maybe it's something specific to the area you're editing.

Should we be adding gas stations in the editor now, or should we wait until the beta has been released?
If you add the gas stations in WME, they'll be editable in the beta to fill in the additional fields, or you'll be able to full them in in WME when the new WME comes out with that feature enabled.

I know someone mentioned a change in behavior of the Avoid Highways function a few weeks ago, but not everyone was able to reproduce it.
Today, I switched to that mode and was routed on every road type except Freeways. There were long stretches of Major Highway throughout the trip.
So I guess it's Avoid Freeways now.

I've been saying they should make it Avoid Freeways since I started using Waze. They seem to have the functionality right. Just need to specify it in the menus.

mike-bronner wrote:I noticed a change in WME today, when searching for a city when editing:
1. Enter city name and state, i.e. "billings, mt".
2. Hit ENTER.
3. A drop-down appears with suggested city names.
4. You must click a city name in the drop-down to be taken there.
Previously it used to take you to the city, if it found a match. Why the extra click now? This may just be a little bug due to the infrastructure system upgrade of course, will keep an eye on this.
It used to do this if you has multiple cities with the same name. I saw this behavior today with the city I wanted at the top and then a list of very weird options underneath. I had my hands full and was in a rush so I didn't look further into it and didnt remember till I saw your post. I'll check it out tomorrow and notify support if it's still doing it.
