Voice cuts out

Since the update using either the male or female voice cuts out when it says left or right or gives the distance to a turn. Also if it says continute it will also. It just blanks out that command as if its not installed or something. Im using a Epic 4g Touch from samsung. Uninstall and reinstall has been done.

There was another thread about incomplete full navigation instructions that I think they traced down to a server issue.

Include your make/model/version and most importantly where you are, as it might be a location based issue.

i made a support ticket and got the response that it was my network speed dropping out or poor connection???? not likely as i tried on WIFI. There recomendation was to set to minimial nav in settings but the guidance wouldnt not be like it was before. I was really liking this app over google until this hiccup.

Same problem, same phone, same OS version, same provider. I've also submitted a support request.

I don't see how this could possibly be attributed to a network issue, and since this specific problem started happening to this specific phone, right around the same time these phones first started being updated to ICS, then I think that's too much of a coincidence to not explore as a cause.

I agree, i also recently tried a aftermarket ROM called Blu Kuban which is ics based. Same issue, tried flashing it back to gingerbread and the issue went away and it worked fine. Def a ICS issue and not network related.

I have also noticed under the google navigation that there are now 3 different voices the 2 new voices sound much more human that the standard android voice it used to have. and it changed ant what seem to me at random times. i wonder if the voice change in ICS had anything to do with waze.

Yesterday, I had a response to my support ticket, and he had me uninstall Waze, delete the Waze folder, and then install a Beta he sent (v3.2.1.995). I still had the same audio cut-out problem, but then I changed one of the settings:

Settings > Level of Guidance > None/Minimal/Full

I had it set to Full, and then changed it to Minimal, and although it's not a "fix," it's a workaround -- there was no audio cut out.

I see Google Play has Waze v3.2.2.2 as of today (8/8/12), so maybe that includes a fix. If not, I guess we'll need to use Minimal guidance for the time being.

Unfortunately the new update did not solve this problem I too, have had this since upgrading to ICS. Glad to come across this thread and see I'm not the only one. Setting to minimal is a temporary work around as mentioned. As an AM this is not optimal, as I depend on listening to "full navigation" to see if updates come across TTS as it should.

We can only hope they will look into this ASAP
