Is there a way to force download for italian language?

Yes, uninstall Waze, delete the waze directory from your internal storage or sd and reinstall. You'd better be connected to wifi when you run the app for the first time.

Waze does not recalculate the route if I drop the calculated route.
My position is on the blu arrow and I drove along the red road.

I haven't read any manual yet so my feedback is from turning the app on and seeing how user-friendly and useful it is. I have the HTC Evo V and ICS.

1. I was driving a few minutes ago and there was traffic before an intersection and Waze never mentioned this, was it supposed to? Is the app going to alert me to potential speed traps that users have reported in the past?

2. Compared to the default Navigator app that comes with the phone, the app didn't warn me about how to navigate the intersection until I was already in it.

3. The voice used for prompts is worse than the Navigator one which is silky smooth.

4. I use PowerAmp and it has the feature "Pause during notifications/messages" so if I'm listening to music and using Navigator, the music will pause when Navigator tells me to do something like "turn left" but pausing doesn't happen with your app and this is a must have feature for me.

i talked about this error in a previous beta..
the answer i received was that waze gives you the distance from your place to the destination as crow flight not how long is the route (??).

not an error .. in the search result the distance is as the crow flies, since the routes are not calculated yet! if you get 10 results in a search, waze would need to calculate 10 routes, just for showing you the results. that would be too much extra load for the routing servers ..

I haven't had a chance to fully test the new version yet. I am running into issues not related to Waze entirely. Over the (my) weekend (I am off Tue/Wed) I upgraded the MT4GS to Aplha 6 and it is having the same issue as alpha 5 was. Everything else but Waze connects to the network. Have to downgrade to Alpha 4 and get with the dev.

On my Tab for some reason I am not getting a connection on the phone network. When I start it up on the stock rom com.phone.android force closes twice and I have a feeling that is why. When I try to install the CM Rom, for some reason it installed the wifi version and will not allow the tmo version to be installed, so I am working on that issue as well. I think I am going to try to reinstall the stock rom tonight and hope it doesn't kill root.

I ran it on my tab on the way to work today up to where the map cache ran out even though I didn't have a connection, it is stable, but the icon placement is a bit wonky in landscape. Later on I will post a screenshot.

I got my issues with the tab resolved. Installed the wrong recovery. Ran it to work today with no server issues. I do have issues with the way it looks on a bigger screen like the 10.1. Streets and below disapear at 40+ mph. Some of the graphics are the right size like the spedo, zoom controls and compass, but the actual menus are at the size of what would be on a phone and need to be made bigger. It is hard to report things and see issues coming up when the menus are so small.

My siggie needs to be updated. I am currently running the CM ICS nightlies on the Tab. When I get home I will send logs so you can see kernel ect. I am getting gas tonight as well so I will get to try out the gas with no dot fix. I made a few screenshots on the way to work too. I need to shrink them up to make them play nice.

Waze report an error (oh-oh) when I try to calculate route long 400km (from Turin to Rimini - Italy).
After several time that I try, finally the route is calculated.
No problem with route long 20 km.

In add, during a phone call, the voice of waze don't mute so I listen drive instruction and voice of my friend.

I think it is an error. Everything waze does seems like an extraordinary load for there servers to me, so I'm hoping they can handle this one. The problem is that if the driving distance and the direct line distance is very different the results are meaningless. The driving distance is what matters not the direct line. Say you are on one bank of a river with bridges 10 miles upstream and 10 miles downstream. Giving results on the other side the river as the closest result .5 mile away is not helpful.

It may not be useful I agree, but that is how every one of the (limited I admit) GPS units and apps I have used behaves. I can tell you it is annoying when you are looking for gas, close to empty, in the deserts of Nevada! I don't know how you would avoid it without crippling the route server with extensive route calculations to multiple search results. Do any other PNDs or apps do other than as the crow flies?

Anyway I get 2 results witch do not help me. The third is also wrong.
At last Google navigation do the correct job !
