Adding a missing exit

Postby Alice2 » Sat Aug 04, 2012 10:58 pm

I was surprised and amazed to find that this exit from I-10E in San Antonio, TX was missing from the update map. I drive there frequently, and know it has been there for at least 5 and maybe more than 10 years! I have added it, and would like for someone who knows more than I do to check my work and let me know if everything was done correctly. Here is the link: https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&lat ... s=67131750.
I have also been finding many entrances to the Interstate which are not labeled with any name. I have been adding names as "to I-10 E" or "to I-10 W". I have avoided doing anything on interchanges involving cloverleafs or flyovers (with many levels), preferring to leave them to someone who knows more than I do.

Thanks, gerben, I fixed it. I think the ramp arrow was partly hidden under the freeway arrow.

Thanks everyone. I see what you mean by the brand new wiki page. There is a "lot" more there than when I last looked. A lot more to learn. I am reading and learning. It might take a long time!!

Adding a missing exit

When the arrows are hidden, there is a short cut key to see them. The S key.

The turn from the freeway to the ramp is restricted.

It's important that all editors re-read the Wiki frequently. Changes are made every day as we learn new information from the developers, and as the software evolves.

also, according to the *brand new* wiki page, the exit should be at a 20-30° angle from the highway, which will also make the arrow more visible. I definitely recommend reading it, very easy to follow along with lots of pictures. http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/Junction_Style_Guide

well you're off to a good start here in the forums. If you ever have a question that seems like it should have been answered already, do a google search and add "waze" to what you're looking for and you will usually find it. Also, that wiki page was just added on wednesday, so i would keep an eye on it as it's developed.

Please have a good read of the wiki. All editing questions should be answered there, but brilliant for using the forum to ask this, you'd be surprised how many don't :-)
