When I log into http://www.waze.com/dashboard vs. looking at MyScoreboard on my phone, my point totals are different... which one is more accurate and why arent these the same?

The one on the website is accurate. The one on your phone will never be as up to date as the one on the website.

But the one on my phone shows more points than the website. It this just an anomaly due to the current delay in point calculations.

From what I understand, if you get a new device and install Waze, it may or may not show your existing score on the client, and may start you over at zero. I don't know if this will eventually try to catch up, or what.
I've never seen the scoreboard on the phone higher than the dashboard on the site, but it could be whatever they were referring to with the scores being delayed last night. I did my nightly entry into my spreadsheet last night and it looked pretty accurate to me.
Now, the dashboard, and the top 50 list have had a discrepancy of about 3000 points for the past month or so. I know someone else mentioned that on the forums too. That may have something to do with it too.

Trust the website, usually. The phone client estimates mileage, cookie, and candy points in it's total. The website gets the actual values once the routes are processed and sends it back to the phone.

It used to be that the website was ahead in points and the client would catch up to it. But the last few days I've been seeing the opposite, the client always has more points.

That's one of a few things that always bug me about waze. I can't tell if waze is some kind of beta project in a making, or a great consumer ready product.

The point total on my phone is about 3,400 higher than the point total listed on my dashboard. Thats about 5 days worth of points...
