Waze Down in NA ?

Postby par129 » Sat Aug 18, 2012 1:09 pm

Is it just me?

Can’t get into the “Update Map” stuck at login – worked last night.
My Dashboard was last updated 8/15
Last status from eshabtai was 8/7 where he promised an update “tomorrow once we updated the map”
Last updated map was over a month ago
Last "http://status.waze.com/" NA update was 8/9

Is it time to more on?

I was having lots of trouble too. As of ~ 5 minutes ago I can get back into the editor. Points are still old, but that's a daily thing. Maybe they'll be updated tomorrow. I think they were working out some issues. Would be nice if they'd say something on status.waze.com though....

We're not likely to see a status update today, since it's Saturday. Remember that Waze is an Israeli company; today is the Sabbath, so the earliest we could reasonably hope for a status update would be sometime tomorrow (or very late tonight, possibly).

WME is working for me at the moment, although the road layer is loading very slowly. And while there have been no points updates for 2½ days, the main functions of Waze (navigation and traffic) are still working within normal parameters, so your thread subject ("Waze Down") is somewhat misleading. If the routing servers or map servers are not responding to anyone, then yes, "Waze Down" would be appropriate ... but not just because of non-updated points or temporary lack of access to the editor.

If you are still having trouble logging in to the editor, send a message to Support at the link above. (Just remember that it'll take at least a day from now before you get any answer -- probably a lot longer, given their current track record.)
I'm Spil, and I approve this message! :D

The map editing is soooooo slow today.
Specifically the road “loading road images…”

Anyone else experiencing this slowness?

Status should be forthcoming. We finally heard from the developers today. Stay tuned...
