Bad Dir's-Mountlake Terr->Wdvl WA via Brier

I was traveling the backroads through Brier area of WA near Mountlake Terr. The directions at one point traveling from 35th Ave. NE said to take a right on 40th Pl. NE, but the visual showed the route as going both left and right. I went right but then the visual path petered out in that direction at which point I had to do a u-turn to go back to the intersection and continue on 37th Ave. NE, which is where it should have told me to go in the first place.
