If there are lots of the same type of thing popping up, then maybe someone has a 'point mining' bot?

It shouldn't be too hard to put a threshold on the number of edits per time period, even if all that happens is that a Waze staffer looks at the edits to see if they are 'real'.

All of these people do not edit the map. They emulate the route, with special programs for Google maps and include a record of the new road.
