Android beta 3.5.1.905/9 feedback thread

I have had the dimming brightening thing since many versions ago. I even set up a tasker to try to make the screen dim at night. My screen brightened and dimmed constantly and thought it was Waze keeping the screen from going to sleep.


On this new beta on the Mytouch when I am driving slow or at a complete stop the wazer spins around and gets dizzy. I sent logs around 255pm Central time.

- asked for a Play Store rating 5 mins ago. This should not happen if you upgraded like me, only if you removed the old installation before installing the beta.
- lost the speedometer last night. It came back by itself, just before I sent the logs (21:49 CET).

This has to do with 4.2.1 and how auto Sleep is set up. My Google Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus are set up for 2 minutes auto Sleep. Screen dims exactly 2 minutes after major event like traffic pup up or Recalculate. Since I never follow Waze routes I get a lot of route recalculations. My Galaxy Tab 7.7 with 4.0.4 does not exhibit this behaviour.

Does this mean auto dim only works on 4.2 devices?

This is not a desired behaviour. It looks like Waze is fighting with with OS and wins. Screen dims for about 10 seconds and comes back bright. It is annoying when driving at night.[/quote]

Re-installed Beta and signed out of FB! Honestly, Waze works better without FB. I can share my drives and destinations through text and mail as well.

Since beta updates December 24 I have many problems getting geo, and when it is achieved after more than five minutes.

Since I installed 905, 'my drives' aren't showing up......

I was driving around (not navigating) and a large pop-up advertisement for Taco Bell came up (not the little bubble icon). Maybe there should be a paid "pro version" of Waze without advertisements!

My drives are on the editor, I don't see what relevance it has to this beta. Have you waited the standard maximum of a week?

This is a betatest feedback thread. I would prefer a paid version instead of annoing pop-ups too but please make a separate thread.

Finally reporting Gas price works on Galaxy Ace 2. Now we have different problems - texts are a little bit too high on lists (doesn't center vertically to white area).

Gas stations disappear from map menu after deselecting one.

This was answered in the older beta threads and in fact 3 posts above yours

The text is not correctly centered into the field

I got this reply earlier in another thread:
The gas layout is correct, in the US it shows the address of the gas station. It hasn't been implemented yet in the international server
