Waze will no longer serve Ads starting September 1, 2023.

We will wind down the current Waze Ads product and advertisers will have the opportunity to keep existing campaigns running through August 31, 2023.

We are already working to transition Waze Ads to Google Ads technology and look forward to helping advance your business objectives through our new Waze Ads product soon.

During this transition, we have an alternative solution you may already be familiar with: Performance Max for Store Goals (PMax). This Google campaign uses AI to maximize your in-store visits and sales by bringing geo formats across Search, Display, GMail, Google Maps, and YouTube into a single product. For questions on PMax, you can contact your existing Google channel of support or reach out to Google Support home page. You can also check out our Waze Support Hub if you have any Waze Ads questions.

Case study

Real estate brokerage, Daniel Gale Sotheby's, increased visits to open houses on the map

For New York-based real estate brokerage Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty, building connections between real estate agents and potential buyers is crucial — and many of these connections start at open houses. Still, finding a way to make their open houses stand out in a busy market isn’t always easy, which is why the brokerage wanted to partner with Waze to increase open house visits, encourage agents to hold more open houses and help more buyers find just the right home.

Helping more buyers spot their dream home

Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty looks for marketing strategies that empower their sellers and their potential buyers. That’s why Daniel Gale was looking for a creative way to boost open house attendance and increase excitement for agents to hold more open houses. Additionally, the brokerage hoped to assert themselves as a marketing leader in their region

Reaching potential buyers with Waze

To reach these goals and drive more open house visits, Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty used a combination of Pins, Takeovers and Search ads. These methods worked together to create digital “For Sale” signs that helped spread the word about nearby open houses — and hopefully increase consumer attendance, especially among potential homebuyers who don’t pass by those physical “For Sale” signs regularly.

We were having our first open house for the listing and We were so surprised to have over a dozen people actually come through on a private gated road. Fortunately for us the last buyer to arrive through Waze put in an offer and proceeded to contract and successfully closed on the property. We received about 10,000 hits that day and were very grateful for the exposure.

A home run

A partnership with Waze and HomeSpotter immediately paid off for the real estate agents at Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty. The campaign drove 704 navigations, 6.9M impressions and 8.9K clicks. Pins were a particularly fruitful part of the campaign, leading to 6.5M of the 6.9M total impressions. HomeSpotter makes advertising simple for Daniel Gale. The platform even allows the flexibility for agents to add or cancel an Open House at the last minute as needed -- a frequent occurrence in the space. And thanks to help from Waze Ads, more potential customers are buying what Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty is selling.
