Decreasing accidents in a major highway

The “Ferihegyi repülőtérre vezető út” is a main artery connecting the southern-eastern part of agglomeration with the city center and also the one and only way to get downtown from Budapest Airport. The road was prone to car crashes, so the authorities decreased the speed limit to 70KMH. Waze data was used to measure the effectiveness of the change, using the car accidents report. Result - a 38% decrease in accidents.
